The BHAF or The Beckenham Hospitals Amenity Fund or colloquially known as The Hospitals Competitions;
Entries are now available and all entries and competitions are displayed on a noticeboard near to the match boards – all entries per person per competition are £3.50, of which all monies raised by entering & taking part will be spent on good, well deserving charities/hospitals. Latter years it has been increasingly difficult to a) be able to buy equipment etc for local hospitals due to the sheer cost of items, so we are now more focussed on smaller charities helping sufferers and those providing support to those suffering with ill health,
Please assured that all funds raised through entry money is spent wholly on such charities. The organisation and handling of the money raised is held and managed by the Beckenham Rotary Club f.o.c.
So the competitions available are:
Ladies Singles; Ladies Pairs; Ladies Triples;
Men’s Singles; Men’s Pairs; Men’s Triples.
Mixed Pairs; Mixed Triples.
Novice Open Pairs – a new competition started last year and well received by all. Open to new/recent bowlers since 2022 & can be played in any combination of Ladies/Men i.e.
both Ladies, both Men or a Mixed pair.
Just sign up to as many competitions as you wish to enter, as follows:
Singles enter your name, email address and best contact number.
All other competitions just require the skips name & best contact details.
I will make all the entries in one batch & the club, via Ken our Treasurer, will make a bulk payment of entry fees – naturally, these will require re-payment to the club account, clearly identified with name & competition(s) by BACS please – Ken will come calling if not done!
Officially entries close on 12th May but the BRHBC entry sheets will be taken down on 10th latest to allow time for entries/payments to be made in time.
This is a ‘nice’ friendly competition for both experienced and less experienced, and an easy way to get into a competitive scenario with other club members and all done ‘in the best possible taste’!
