Bethlem Royal Hospital Bowls Club is holding open days on:
- Friday 2nd May 10.00 am – 12.00 pm and 14.00pm to 16.00pm
- Saturday 3rd May 10.00am – 12.00 pm
- Bowls etc. will be available to borrow from the club
- All you need is some flat soled shoes
- Qualified coaches will be available to get you started

Our club is set in the picturesque surroundings of the Bethlem Royal Hospital grounds where you can get away from it all and totally relax.
We welcome both new and experienced bowlers.
The outdoor bowling season runs from 19th April to 4th October 2025 and members can take part and play at different levels –
- Friendly roll-ups within the club where new members can join in without any pressure.
- Internal competitions within the club – singles, pairs, triples.
- For the more experienced we have Friendly Mixed Club matches at weekends and League matches on Wednesdays and Thursdays for both men and ladies.
- Competitions at Local, County and National level
- We have a licensed bar and free onsite parking
- In the winter months we run activities such as short mat bowls, cribbage, darts etc. in the club house.
- In addition to the above we organise a variety of social events such as quizzes, themed evenings, bingo nights, curry nights, a Christmas Dinner and Dance and many other events.
Prospective new members can have 3 sessions of free coaching before joining
